Stay Strong, our tribute to the Army is nearly complete!  Shaun is adding a Jody Call (marching song) called "Hey Josephine" to open the album.  We'll be closing with a "drawing way outside the lines" version of Taps!

Still working instrumentation but we're close.  We're adding a song that honors our Medal of Honor recipients called Take me to the fight and I've been working on an old Irish military song called The Bold Fenian men.    I think they're going to turn out very well!

We had a working CD title of Rolling Along which of course is a nod to the Army song.  But I think we need to go a little tougher so I'm thinking Stay Strong which is one of the strongest cuts from the CD.

Let us know what you think!

Stay Strong!

We've got instrumentation complete for 10 songs.  After some strep throat went through the family during Christmas, I'm waiting for my voice to get back to full strength to lay down lead vocals.  Shaun is waiting for his voice to come back from talking over loud music at all those balls the Marines attend.  Below is the current song list.  We'll probably come up with 2/3 more before it's all said and done.

If anyone's got a military serviceman they want to honor go ahead and send us their details and we'll see what we can do.

  1. Follow me up to Carlow
  2. We Marched - Shaun
  3. Taps
  4. Stand Strong - Shaun
  5. I Stand – use Patrick Henry liberty or death speech
  6. More to me than this
  7. The Army goes rolling along - Shaun
  8. When I’m 99
  9. Train Rolls On
  10. Peace Be Still

Stay Strong!

Shaun's come up with a great minor chord version of the Army song "When the Caissons Go Rolling Along."  It's going to be in the vein of Cheap Trick's "I want you to want me."  It'll rock the house.

We've also got a rockin' version of "Follow me up to Carlow", an Irish war song.  I've heard some rock versions of it but they seem to be more punk with poor vocals.  This one is kind of like The River Bottom Nightmare Band from from Emmett Otter.  Hey those guys may be crooks but they sure did rock!

As always if you have an idea for a song or an old song you really like, let us know and maybe we can put it on the CD!

We're still looking for sponsors to give our music to the troops on the front lines as a Christmas gift.  We'll be working with Cru Military to add our download cards to their Christmas packages.

If you are interested or know of a business that might be interested please let me know.

Mike F.

We have an opportunity to get download cards to the deployed troops through Cru Military. 1$ will get a download card to a soldier that will allow them to download the full album. If you know of any businesses that would like to sponsor us let us know. We would put them on our website as an official Outspake the Brave sponsor.   If anyone is individually interested in helping out there's a DONATE button on our sponsors page on the website.

We're on board with Homes For The Troops!

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving with the 3d Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division during combat operations against an armed enemy at Unsan, Korea, from November 1-2, 1950.

We've sold a handful of CDs and are able to make our first donation.  We just sent $112 to PTSDusa!  Hopefully we'll have much more where that came from.  Don't despise the day of small beginnings!

I met with PTSDusa on Monday and talked with David Maulsby.  They are doing great work there helping our Vets with PTSD.  He gave me some statistics that were staggering.  You know we lost 58,000 in Vietnam but since then have lost more than double that through Vietnam veteran suicide.  That's sobering and unacceptable.

Hardcopy CD is now in hand and looks and sounds great!  Now time to get the news to the world!

If you've got a favorite (and potentially obscure) traditional military song let us know about it and maybe we can give it the Outspake treatment.

Unfortunately the American public knows more about the status of Brittany Spears panties at her latest party or whether Lindsay Lohan

The physical CD is in production and the mp3's are already at and are on their way to iTunes, Amazon, etc.
